Gutter Guard for Stramit Megaclad Roofs

LeafStopper DEKGUARD is a gutter guard system designed specifically for Stramit Megaclad metal roof profiles.

The DEKGUARD system uses the purpose-designed Gripit fastening system to secure the Mesh Shield to the flat section of the roof profile where traditional corrugated roof saddles are not suitable.

This product is designed to suit the Stramit Megaclad roof profile with a 28mm rib height and 800mm cover width.

Megaclad requires approximately 12 Gripits per metre to achieve the correct installation spacing and support for the Mesh Shield.

If your Colorbond® roof uses the Megaclad profile, this DEKGUARD kit has been designed specifically for that roof shape.

Compatible Roof Profile

This DEKGUARD kit is compatible with:

  • Manufacturer: Stramit
  • Roof Profile: Megaclad
  • Rib Height: 28mm
  • Cover Width: 800mm
  • Gripit Requirement: 12 Gripits per metre

If you are unsure whether your roof profile matches these specifications, compare your roof measurements with the dimensions above before ordering.

Why Megaclad Requires DEKGUARD

Stramit Megaclad is a wide-cover concealed-fix metal roof profile commonly used on commercial, industrial and architectural buildings throughout Australia.

The profile features broad flat pans between ribs, making traditional corrugated roof gutter guard systems unsuitable for secure installation.

Unlike corrugated roof gutter guard systems that use saddles fixed over corrugation ribs, DEKGUARD uses the patented Gripit fastening system designed specifically for flat-based roof profiles.

Gripits secure the Mesh Shield to the flat section of the roof profile, helping create a secure installation while maintaining effective rainwater flow into the gutter.

The Megaclad profile requires approximately 12 Gripits per metre to provide the correct support and attachment points along the roof edge.

What Comes in the DEKGUARD Kit?

  • 250mm wide aluminium Mesh Shield roll in your selected kit length and selected Mesh Shield option (Standard, Premium or Fine Mesh)
  • Trimets – used to connect the mesh to the gutter edge using hexagonal head screws
  • Gripit brackets – the quantity required for Megaclad is automatically calculated when this roof profile is selected
  • Colour-matched screws to match the Trimets and Gripits
  • 1 free socket included with your order for hexagonal head screws

Mesh Options Available

  • Standard Mesh: 3.5mm x 3.5mm aluminium mesh designed for general leaf and debris protection.
  • Premium Mesh: Uses the same 3.5mm x 3.5mm aperture as Standard Mesh but is manufactured from thicker aluminium. At 0.80mm thick, Premium Mesh is approximately 46% thicker than Standard Mesh for increased durability.
  • Fine Mesh: Designed to help reduce entry of smaller debris and is the only BAL-rated mesh option in the Leaf Stopper range.

Helps Reduce Gutter Maintenance

No gutter guard system is completely maintenance-free. However, DEKGUARD helps reduce how often gutter cleaning is required by limiting the amount of leaves, twigs and debris entering the gutter.

This can be especially useful on Megaclad roofs exposed to nearby trees, heavy rainfall and wind-blown debris.

Improve Gutter Access with EasyAc

For easier gutter inspection and cleaning, many customers also install an EasyAc gutter access panel.

EasyAc allows you to inspect and flush gutters more easily without removing large sections of mesh.
